Exton-based ACR, a foodservice essentials and operational supplies provider, recently purchased Minnesota-based Ultra Green Packaging, a sustainable foodservice packaging supplier, for an undisclosed amount.

Ultra Green Packaging designs and distributes eco-friendly, fiber-based packaging and rPET packaging lids, including bakeware, sushi trays, and take-n-bake pizza trays. The purchase expands ACR’s sustainable packaging offerings, expands its PrimeWare line with Ultra Green’s molded fiber expertise, and strengthens its position with grocery and retail customers.

“Customer demand for sustainable packaging solutions continues to grow across the foodservice and grocery channels, and Ultra Green strengthens our ability to meet that need,” Scott Milberg, ACR CEO, said. “Their molded fiber capabilities and compostable packaging credentials complement our existing portfolio well, and we look forward to bringing these solutions to a broader base of grocery and retail customers.”

Kristin Davidson, Ultra Green president and owner, and key members of the management team will remain actively involved with the company.

This is ACR’s 12th strategic add-on acquisition since partnering with Washington, D.C.-based Oridian Capital Partners, a lower middle market private equity firm that partners with growth-oriented, family and founder-owned service, distribution, and manufacturing companies.

ACR’s products are used by the foodservice, education, industrial, health care, hospitality, janitorial, and sanitation industries.
