West Chester-based A. Duie Pyle, a supply chain solutions provider, recently opened a 78,760-square-foot warehouse in Camp Hill adjacent to the company’s less-than-truckload (LTL) service center.
Together the two facilities will operate as a fully integrated logistics center that will offer customers reduced handoffs, improved real-time responsiveness to changing demand and direct access to Pyle’s transportation network throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Ohio. The campus is located near several freight corridors including I-81, I-76, I-83 and U.S. 15.
“Connecting inventory and transportation under one roof creates a stronger, more responsive supply chain,” Frank Granieri, A. Duie Pyle chief commercial officer, said. “This investment enables us to reduce touchpoints, improve coordination and deliver a more integrated supply chain solution that helps customers gain greater visibility, flexibility and control over their inventory.”
Opening the Camp Hill warehouse is part of the company’s strategy to bring warehousing and transportation closer together geographically while expanding access to integrated logistics solutions. As part of this strategy, Pyle broke ground earlier this year on an integrated warehouse and LTL service center near the Port of Virginia in Suffolk, Va.
In addition to LTL and warehousing, the company offers a full range of integrated transportation and distribution services including contract dedicated and brokerage solutions.
