Unisys, based in Blue Bell, Pa., said it will partner with data center cooling technology company Refroid Technologies to help organizations build, deploy and maintain high-performance computing infrastructure for AI workloads.

The partnership will combine liquid cooling innovation and global field services to scale organizations’ AI infrastructure, officials said. The growth in AI technology and applications is reshaping the need for data centers, and driving demand for data center solutions that support complex, energy-intensive computing environments. The partnership will combine Refroid’s liquid cooling technologies with Unisys’ global field services and delivery capabilities.

“AI is creating new infrastructure demands that extend well beyond the data center itself,” Patrycja Sobera, senior vice president and general manager, Digital Workplace Solutions, Unisys, said. “Organizations need trusted providers with expertise that bridges the gap between technology innovation and real-world execution as they invest in AI. This collaboration reflects our continued evolution to meet emerging client needs and support the infrastructure powering the future of AI.”

The companies said the partnership would help companies navigate and plan for their AI infrastructure, and strengthen AI growth in organizations. Refroid’s expertise lies in its direct-to-chip cooling, immersion cooling, coolant distribution environments, while Unisys brings specialized field services designed for high-performance computer environments, including deployment, commissioning and validation support, technical workforce enablement, and AI-powered service management and lifecycle support services.

“The bottleneck in AI infrastructure is no longer silicon, it is the skilled expertise required to deploy the cooling that silicon demands,” Satya Bhavaraju, CEO, Refroid Technologies, said. “Partnering with Unisys gives our technology a global services backbone from day one — certified technicians who can install, commission and maintain our systems to Original Equipment Manufacturer standards, supporting AI infrastructure deployments worldwide.”
