Specialty construction supplies and safety products company White Cap announced the opening of its new Enterprise Distribution Center in Bethlehem last week.
The more than 480,000-square-foot facility is the company’s second EDC and the first in the Eastern United State. Officials with the company said the new facility will strengthen its ability to deliver specialty construction supplies and safety products to contractors throughout the region. The facility currently employs 66 associates, with plans to expand to more than 70. Additionally, the facility services 67 White Cap branches across 13 states, including New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D. C.
“Our Bethlehem EDC puts more of our broad product assortment closer to our customers’ job sites in some of the busiest construction markets in the country,” Alan Sollenberger, White Cap CEO, said “From New England, New York and Pennsylvania to Washington, D.C., professional contractors count on White Cap every day to keep their jobs moving, and this facility elevates the speed and reliability they can expect from us.”
As part of its grand opening ceremonies, the company donated $10,000 to the community – $5,000 each to the Hecktown Volunteer Fire Company and Upper Nazareth Fire Department.
White Cap and its affiliates provide concrete accessories and chemicals, tools and equipment, building materials and fasteners, erosion and waterproofing products, and safety products to professional contractors in non-residential, infrastructure, and residential end markets. The company operates approximately 575 branches across North America with more than 12,000 employees total.
