Rite Aid outlines vision for the future workplace

Rite Aid recently unveiled its vision of the future corporate workplace. The concept involved a network of collaboration centers and remote work.

“We’re changing our business from the inside out, and our reimagined workplace is the latest exciting step toward the future of this company,” Heyward Donigan, Rite Aid CEO, who championed the initiative to redefine the company’s approach to work, said. “We believe in remote work, and as we lean into it for the long term, we are investing in a physical footprint that will facilitate its best version. We’ve heard directly from our associates that teams want and need to meet in-person, and we think we’ve found the right balance between the flexibility of remote work and the power of on-site collaboration.”

The company’s headquarters will be located in Philadelphia’s Navy Yard district and will offer space for Rite Aid retail, Elixir, Health Dialog and Bartell Drugs to meet for company gatherings and in-person collaboration and to engage clients and partners.

Regional collaboration centers nationwide will allow Rite Aid teams to meet for in-person meetings, and training and development.

Feedback from Rite Aid employees was incorporated into the workplace model.

Employees have been working remotely during the pandemic and the majority said they prefer working from home.
