Pittsburgh-based Aurora Innovation, a self-driving technology company, hosted its 2026 Analyst and Investor Day on Wednesday in Dallas to provide investors with an update on its commercial driverless trucking operations. The event aired as a webcast that is available for replay for 30 days.
“Transformative technologies develop for years before reaching a decisive commercial inflection point – Aurora has arrived at that moment,” Chris Urmson, Aurora co-founder and CEO, said ahead of the event. “We have emerged from the building phase and are revolutionizing how goods move, unlocking safety benefits, and creating immense economic value across the freight ecosystem.”
The Aurora Driver is a self-driving system that can operate multiple vehicle types including freight-hauling trucks. The system has completed more than 500,000 driverless miles since its commercial launch. This year, Aurora nearly doubled the number of driverless customers and
set a goal of more than 30,000 driverless trucks in operation and a multi-billion dollar revenue stream by 2030.
During the event, attendees were given the opportunity to ride in Aurora Driver-powered trucks on a segment of Aurora’s Dallas-to-Houston commercial route.
Aurora also hosted a Partner Summit on Thursday to educate attendees on how the company is building a seamless customer experience.
