ASC Engineered Solutions announced it had sold its foundry and associated facilities in Blossburg, Pa. to Yoe, Pa.-based Rytoria Cap Inc., a leader in circular metal processing and recycling.
The sale is the result of an effort by ASC to find a new owner for the facility that is committed to keeping the site an active part of Tioga County’s industrial economy, company officials said. Rytoria said it would keep the facility operating in Blossburg.
“Blossburg is a wonderful community with great talent, and we are excited to launch the next chapter of Rytoria’s growth here,” Lorne Kalisky, CEO of Rytoria, said. “This facility provides a strong foundation for our expansion and long-term success. We look forward to engaging with local leaders and learning more about the community’s workforce as we implement a phased expansion strategy aligned with Rytoria’s broader U.S. growth objectives.”
Rytoria specializes in recycling and processing non-ferrous and ferrous metals including aluminum, copper and brass, the company said. Through its subsidiary Fagor Regen Aluminum in Yoe, Pa., the company manufactures high-purity aluminum ingots used in automotive manufacturing, as well as the general manufacturing industry.
“Our goal has been to secure a future for the Blossburg site that continues its legacy within the broader Blossburg community,” Jason Hild, CEO of ASC Engineered Solutions, said. “We’re pleased to have found a buyer in Rytoria that sees long-term opportunity in the site. We look forward to supporting a smooth transition as Rytoria moves forward with its plans.”
The facility will undergo a phased integration, Rytoria said, with its initial focus on workforce engagement and infrastructure assessment. ASC will continue Blossburg operations until the end of 2025 at it completes its transition to other ASC facilities in Pennsylvania. The two companies said they will explore other opportunities to collaborate in the future.
“Manufacturing at this site has been part of the fabric of Tioga County for generations,” Tioga County Commissioner Shane Nickerson said. “I’m proud of our ability to attract great companies like Rytoria, which will invest in the future of this site to jointly benefit their growing business and our community. Alongside the rest of our Commission, I look forward to supporting Rytoria’s success in Blossburg.”
