Philadelphia-based Datavault AI, a data sciences technology company, recently appointed Barry Childe to serve as chief information security officer.

In his new role, Childe will lead Datavault AI’s cybersecurity strategy and strengthen data protection for its platforms that support tokenization, valuation and secure data monetization. His plan focuses on advancing secure infrastructure, protecting critical data, and continuing the company’s work in AI security and quantum-resistant technologies.
Childe holds a Ph.D. in computer science and has more than 40 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, distributed-ledger technology and high-performance computing. He is the co-founder of Arqit, a quantum-encryption company. He also has contributed to the development of enterprise platforms, held senior technology roles at Barclays Capital, The Royal Bank of Scotland and VMware, and served as a HSBC distinguished engineer.
