Energy Future PA names former congressman as co-chairman

Conor Lamb

Energy Future PA, a nonpartisan coalition focused on securing Pennsylvania’s leadership in a decarbonized energy economy, recently named former U.S. Rep. Conor Lamb (D-PA) to serve as co-chairman with former state Rep. Kate Harper (R-Montgomery County).

Lamb succeeds former Pennsylvania Auditor General Eugene DePasquale who is continuing his political career.

Lamb is an Allegheny County attorney who earned his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served as an officer and judge advocate. He also was an assistant U.S. attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania in Pittsburgh, and currently works in private practice law.

Lamb served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2018 to 2022. He was chairman of the Energy Subcommittee of the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, and remains active in public policy issues.

“Pennsylvania is in a unique position to lead the nation’s transformation to a decarbonized energy economy,” Lamb said. “We have an abundance of natural energy resources to leverage as part of the transition, we are a leading nuclear energy producer, and we now have two of the nation’s leading projects to develop regional hydrogen hubs.”

Energy Future PA supports a comprehensive suite of energy solutions including advanced nuclear energy, carbon capture and storage technologies, and clean hydrogen. It is focused on a strategy that preserves and expands jobs.
