The Harrisburg Regional Chamber Board of Directors and the Capital Region Economic Development Corp. (CREDC) board of directors recently announced their 2023 board members.
The regional chamber and CREDC serve Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry counties.
Karen Gunnison was named Harrisburg Regional Chamber Board of Directors chairwoman.
Gunnison owns Gunnison Consulting. She previously worked as director of corporate communications and PR at Capital Blue Cross, as chief of staff to the First Lady of Pennsylvania, and as executive director of the Murata Business Center.
She serves on the board of LeTort Trust and Harristown Enterprises.
Wade Becker was named chairman of the CREDC Board of Directors.
Becker is a partner in RKL’s Audit Services Group and leader of the RKL Manufacturing and Distribution Group. He previously worked as managing partner of RKL’s Capital Region office and leader of RKL’s Manufacturing & Distribution Industry Group.
“Karen and Wade have exemplified the bold and visionary leadership skills we look for to help us move the region forward,” Ryan Unger, Harrisburg Regional Chamber and CREDC president and CEO, said. “With their guidance and leadership, we look forward to achieving our goals for 2023 and to continue to serve the businesses in our community.”
