Ben Franklin Technology Partners approves $207,200 in economic investment

The Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s (BFTP/NEP) board of directors recently approved $207,200 in early-stage company investments in five companies.

BFTP/NEP provides one-to-one matching funding for college or university partners on technology-based innovation in established manufacturers.

Investments were in the form of loans with warrants.

Celebr8 Life in Bethlehem received $80,000 to launch and market a mobile application that streamlines event coordination, photo sharing, the creation of highlight reels, and storage.

IntelliGreen in West Hazleton received $100,000 for sales and marketing associated with its entrance-management products. The products allow clients to protect the security and health in the workplace through temperature screenings, ID integration, or facial recognition.

M.J. Reider Associates in Reading received $6,700 for customer service enhancements. Alvernia University’s O’Pake Institute is M.J. Reider’s university partner.

PhytogenX in Morgantown received $12,500 to extend applications of its Enterprise Resource Planning system. The system improves manufacturing efficiencies and streamlines marketing and sales processes. Alvernia University’s O’Pake Institute is PhytogenX’s university partner.

PMA-13 in Allentown received $8,000 to implement a new Enterprise Resource Planning system for government organizations, hospitals, and companies. Lehigh University’s Center for Supply Chain Research is PMA-13’s university partner.

Since 2018, BFTP/NEP’s investments have helped to develop 202 new products and processes.
