Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority approves development loans for seven companies

The Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) recently approved more than $11 million in low-interest loans for seven companies in five counties to create and retain employees, grow operations, and improve facilities.

DelGrosso Foods in Blair County, through Altoona-Blair County Development Corp., was approved for a $1.6 million loan. The company will renovate a vacant 160,220-square-foot building in Antis Township into a food manufacturing facility.

The project is expected to cost $12.8 million, create 26 new jobs, and retain 113 positions.

Flex-Cell Precision in Lancaster County, through EDC Finance Corp., was approved for a $1.5 million loan to expand its manufacturing facility from 17,500 to 41,010 square feet.

The project is expected to cost $3.3 million, create 10 jobs, and retain 45 positions.

That Fudge Place in Schuylkill County, through Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance, was approved for a $250,000 loan to purchase and renovate a 10,296-square-foot building in Wayne Township into a production facility.

The project is expected to cost $500,000, create five jobs and retain eight positions.

PSC Biotech Corporation (d/b/a BioTechnique) in York County, through York County Economic Development Corp., was approved for a $2 million loan to purchase a 163,885-square-foot manufacturing facility in Conewago Township.

The project is expected to cost $5.5 million, create 100 jobs and retain three positions.
