Belle Vernon-based Guttman Realty, a fuels distributor, recently closed on its sale of Bulk Terminal Storage, three storage terminals in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia, to Houston-based Zenith Energy Terminals Holdings.
The terminals are located in Belle Vernon, Pa., Aurora, Ohio, and Star City, W.Va. They have an aggregate storage capacity of 560,000 barrels.
The sale is part of Guttman’s strategic growth plan and will allow the company to focus on sales and marketing efforts for its newly expanded network of terminals. The sale will allow Guttman to expand its wholesale and commercial fuel distribution business across the Mid-Atlantic and East Coast marketing areas.
The purchase is part of Zenith’s continued commitment to strengthening its infrastructure in the Midwest and the Marcellus and Utica Shale regions.
“This acquisition further develops our existing network of terminals in key U.S. markets and enables us to promote growth in alternative fuels, addressing two of Zenith’s strategic priorities,” Zenith President and CEO Jeff Armstrong said. “We look forward to implementing our approach to safety and environmental stewardship at our new terminals and leveraging the new storage capacity to support customers with renewable diesel, biofuel, and ethanol storage needs.”
