Dollar Bank to open four Virginia locations

Pittsburgh-based Dollar Bank will open four new locations in Hampton Roads, Va., between now and Feb. 16.

The openings will bring the total locations in the region to 11.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Feb. 11 at the Hickman Place location to celebrate the Hampton Roads’ expansion.

“As a community-focused financial institution, we believe our core values, culture, and a wide array of financial products and services continue to meet the personal and business banking needs of Hampton Roads,” Dollar Bank President and CEO Jim McQuade said. “The opening of four new offices continues to strengthen our presence in the region, allowing us to create jobs, expand resources, and provide additional support to the local communities.”

Each location will allow customers to complete transactions with a banker or Personal Teller Machines (PTMs). PTMs function as ATMs to dispense cash or accept simple deposits but also allow customers to communicate via video with tellers

Communication with tellers via PTMs will be available Monday through Saturday for 12 hours daily.

Dollar Bank operates 80 locations in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Ohio. Founded more than 165 years ago, it employs more than 1,400 people and has assets totaling more than $9.9 billion.
