Canonsburg-based Vision RNG, a full-service developer of landfill gas to sustainable renewable natural gas, recently broke ground on the construction of a Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) project located on the Meridian Waste Eagle Ridge Landfill in Bowling Green, Mo.
The project will use 1,500 cubic feet per minute of Landfill Gas and will produce 375,000 one million British thermal units of RNG annually. The RNG produced will be transported in a nearby interstate natural gas pipeline and be used by various customers across the United States for transportation fuel and other purposes.
Construction is expected to be completed during the first quarter of next year.
“At Meridian Waste, our environmental services team has always considered our landfills to be highly engineered structures that provide a vital resource to our local communities,” Walter Hall, Meridian Waste CEO, said. “We view the conversion of our landfill gas to clean energy to be an effective means of recycling and reusing this valuable resource. And in our business, wasting energy is simply a waste of time!”
Founded in 2021 with funding from Vision Ridge Partners, Vision RNG has a team experienced in oil and gas, RNG, and landfills.
North Carolina-based Meridian Waste offers residential, commercial, and industrial non-hazardous solid waste collection and disposal.
