Struzzi endorsed for State House by ChamberPAC

ChamberPAC announced last week its endorsement of Jim Struzzi for the state’s 62nd legislative House District.

ChamberPAC represents the political arm of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry.

A resident of White Township in Indiana County, Struzzi will run for the seat, currently held by House Majority Leader Dave Reed (R-Indiana County), against three other candidates in the Primary Election on May 15. Reed is set to retire at the end of this year.

“As a local chamber executive, Jim Struzzi has a unique understanding of the financial and regulatory challenges that employers face, having worked closely with small businesses throughout his community,” PA Chamber President and CEO Gene Barr said. “This experience has given him the opportunity to understand how government should work with the private sector to build and sustain a stronger, more competitive economy.”

Struzzi began his career as a local government journalist and was later employed by the state Department of Transportation (DOT), becoming press secretary for PennDOT District 11. He currently serves as president of the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce.

“Jim Struzzi is a well-rounded candidate who understands and prioritizes the policies that must be enacted to encourage private-sector job growth,” Barr said. “On behalf of the Pennsylvania Chamber’s broad-based membership, ChamberPAC urges voters in the 62nd legislative House District to support Jim Struzzi in the upcoming Primary Election.”
