Pittsburgh banking leader Scott Colcombe will step into the role of Huntington Bank’s regional president for the TriState region, officials with the financial institution said.
Colcombe will replace Susie Shipley, who was promoted to regional group president earlier this year, officials said. Colcombe will join Huntington on Nov. 9 to lead the bank’s regional growth strategy, business development efforts and community engagement initiatives, while Shipley will take on an expanded role overseeing Huntington’s regional presidents across many of the bank’s core markets.
“Serving as regional president in the TriState region was an extraordinary honor,” Shipley said. “I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside our talented colleagues and dedicated community partners in support of Huntington’s purpose of making people’s lives better, helping businesses thrive and strengthening the communities we serve. I am proud of what we have accomplished together and look forward to advancing that mission across more markets in my expanded role.”
With deep ties to the Pittsburgh and western Pennsylvania business communities, Colcombe has more than 30 years of banking experience to bring to the role. Most recently, he led targeted sales for large corporate finance and managed corporate banking relationships across the western Pennsylvania region. Colcombe will serve as Huntington’s senior leader in the TriState region, and represent the bank across business and civic communities.
Colcombe has a bachelor’s degree in finance and pre-law from Ohio University, and an executive MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He also serves on the local Pittsburgh bord of Blood Cancer United, formerly the Leukemia & Lymphoma society, and is a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh.
“I am honored to join Huntington and build on the strong foundation Susie and our colleagues have established,” Colcombe said. “This region is home to vibrant businesses and resilient communities, and I look forward to working with our talented team to deepen relationships, create new opportunities and deliver the expertise and personalized support our customers need to succeed.”
