Fontana Candle Co. recently announced it is expanding production at its Lancaster facility in September, a move that will position it as the largest 100 percent natural candle manufacturer in the United States.
The company currently produces approximately 3,000 candles daily. After expansion, it will produce an estimated 24,000 candles daily.
Last year, the company had revenue totaling $4.7 million, surpassed 2 million candles sold and expanded distribution. It projects revenue will be nearly $10 million this year.
The company attributes its growth to the rising consumer demand for non-toxic home products, ingredient transparency and American-made manufacturing. The company uses only beeswax, coconut oil and pure essential oils in the manufacturing process, and its candles have been MADE SAFE certified. It be certified a company must demonstrate that it offers ecosystem-sound consumer options.
“People are paying closer attention to what comes into their homes and we think that kind of honesty and care should be the norm,” Co-Founder Eric Roering said. “Our mission is to make clean, natural candles everyone can enjoy. This expansion allows us to meet demand while staying committed to clean ingredients, transparency and American manufacturing.”
