Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry elects new chairman, members

The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry’s (PA Chamber) board of directors recently elected a new chairman, vice chairman and members at its annual membership meeting.

Robert Scaer was elected to a two-year term as chairman, replacing Manuel Mar whose term expired. Scaer is a board of directors member and previously served as the PA Chamber board of directors’ first vice chairman.

“We are excited for Bob to ascend to the chairman’s role to build on the incredible progress we’ve made advancing policies that foster growth, innovation, and opportunity for Pennsylvania businesses,” PA Chamber President and CEO Luke Bernstein said. “We also want to thank Manny as his tenure as chair included historic pro-business wins that strengthened both the PA Chamber and the Commonwealth, and we are grateful for his commitment and leadership.”

Justin Ladner was elected to serve as first vice chairman.

The newly elected members to the PA Chamber board are Michael Barber, Alison Beam, Christy Blashock, Philip Brenckle, Brooks Broadhurst, Jimmy Brock, Jim Dever, Beth Henke, Jeff Kotula, Chris McComish, Dave Miller, Julien Sauvagnargues, Pete Stanislawczyk, and David Vahos.

Fourteen members were re-elected to the board.

The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry is Pennsylvania’s largest broad-based business association.
