Philadelphia-based Lula Commerce, a provider of artificial intelligence-powered digital commerce technology for convenience retailers, recently raised $8 million in Series A funding.
The new funding brings Lula’s total capital raised to over $16 million to meet the growing digital demands of world-class convenience retailers.
“It’s an incredible privilege to build mission-critical technology for some of the most iconic and forward-thinking retail brands in the country,” Adit Gupta, Lula Commerce co-founder and CEO, said. “As consumer expectations shift and digital continues to reshape retail, we’re committed to being the backbone that powers this transformation.”
Lula Commerce offers AI-powered operating systems that enables smaller retailers to operate with tools that once were only available to large multinational companies. Lula Direct powers branded web and mobile ordering. Lula Hub unifies third-party delivery services into a single dashboard. Lula Operators is a suite of more than 30 AI-driven tools that automate refunds, reviews, uptime, and other critical operations.
This round of funding was led by SEMCAP AI, with participation from Rich Products Ventures, GO PA Fund, NZVC, UP.Partners, Green Circle Foodtech Ventures, and Outlander VC.
There are more than 155,000 convenience stores in the United States, yet fewer than 10 percent offer modern online ordering or delivery options.
