Pittsburgh-based PNC Bank recently launched a fully integrated payment solution for micro business clients.

PNC Mobile Accept provides the ability to accept in-person credit and debit card payments directly within the PNC Mobile app. A micro business is one that processes less than $300,000 in credit and debit card transactions annually.

PNC Mobile Accept allows users to accept funds from all credit card providers directly on a phone or tablet via manual entry or a pocket-sized reader that supports tap, dip or swipe transactions. It includes near real-time transaction tracking, cardholder data encryption, and tax-and-tip functionality.

There is no monthly fee and funds typically can be accessed within two business days.

“Micro businesses are often left behind by traditional card payment solutions due to high fees, restrictive card programs and approval delays,” Matt Evans, PNC Merchant Services for Small Businesses head, said. “With PNC Mobile Accept, we’re meeting small businesses where they are, delivering enterprise-grade payments capabilities at micro business scale – fast, affordable, and accessible.”

Any PNC small-business client with an active PNC business checking account can apply for PNC Mobile Accept.

Tempus Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of PNC Bank, provides payment processing services.

PNC Bank is a member of The PNC Financial Services Group.
