Quaker Houghton’s latest sustainability report reflects progress

Conshohocken, Pennsylvania-based Quaker Houghton, an industrial process fluids company, recently released its 2023 sustainability report that provides details on the company’s social, economic and environmental progress.

“In 2023, we continued to advance our sustainability initiatives, making targeted investments to strengthen the foundation of our integrated strategy,” Andy Tometich, Quaker Houghton CEO and president, said.

Highlights of the report include:

  • In 2023, more than 26,000 metric tons of waste was eliminated at QH FLUIDCARE partner locations.
  • Since 2022, more than 47,000 metric tons of waste have been eliminated.
  • A total of 71 percent of the company’s energy consumption globally was sourced via grid, solar, and purchased contracts.
  • All the company’s manufacturing locations outside the United States obtained ISO 14001 certification.
  • All of the company’s direct suppliers spending more than $100,000 committed to Quaker Houghton’s Supplier Code of Conduct.

“The achievement of our 2023 milestones and the EcoVadis Silver Award are clear indications of the progress we are making towards our 2030 Sustainability Goals,” Tometich said. “I am proud of the momentum we have built and the unwavering commitment to unlock our potential and positively impact the future of our Company, our people, and our communities.”

Quaker Houghton operates in more than 25 countries and employs approximately 4,400 people.
