M&T Bank, the principal banking subsidiary of New York-based M&T Bank Corp., recently opened the application period for its third Capital Region Multicultural Small Business Lab.
The lab is designed to provide multicultural business owners with the guidance and skills needed to build strong businesses.
Applications will be accepted through April 19, and the bank will select up to 45 entrepreneurs to participate.
Entrepreneurs must meet three eligibility requirements. They must have annual business revenue of $350,000 or less, have been in business no more than three years, and reside in Harrisburg’s capital region.
The program is free, and enrollment will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
The seven-week program will run from May 8 through June 20 and will be held in partnership with the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. Sessions will focus on accessing capital, branding, business planning, establishing credit, marketing, and networking.
On the final day, a pitch competition will be held for the opportunity to win $5,000 for first place, $3,000 for second place and $2,000 for third place.
M&T Bank provides banking products and services in 12 states along the Atlantic seaboard from Maine to Virginia and Washington, D.C.
