Cranberry Township-based Westinghouse announced two key leadership changes on Monday.

Effective immediately, the company said, Ron Timperio would serve as COO and executive vice president for global operations services, and Adam Silverstein would serve as executive vice president for quality, environment, health and safety.

“Strong execution across our global operations coupled with the highest standards of safety and quality is critical for both our day-to-day and long-term success,” Patrick Fragman, Westinghouse President and Chief Executive Officer said. “Ron is a seasoned executive who brings to Westinghouse an unrelenting focus on performance and delivery through diverse, cross-functional experience across global industries. Adam is a strategic leader whose advanced expertise in quality has been transformative throughout his extensive career, which will serve us well at Westinghouse.”

The announcements follow the departure of Pavan Pattada, executive vice president for global operations services, and the retirement of Jill Redmon, executive vice president for quality, environment, health and safety.

Timperio will lead the global engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and other technical capabilities that support the company’s business units, officials said. Recently, Timperio served as the COO at PDC Machines. He has 30 years of experience in manufacturing operations; supply chain management’ environmental, health and safety; and quality control. He previously spent nearly 20 years at General Electric within its aviation, transportation, industrial solutions and energy services divisions.

Silverstein will lead Westinghouse’s nuclear safety, industrial safety and quality assurance programs, the company said. Prior to joining Westinghouse, he served as Vice President of Quality at CommScope, and has also led the Quality and HS&E division for Rolls Royce’s Civil Large Engine Operations, as well as the Facilities and Operations of its Civil Nuclear business.
