McDanel Advanced Material Technologies purchases California company

Beaver Falls-based McDanel Advanced Material Technologies, a Advanced Material technical solutions developer and manufacturer, recently purchased California-based Rayotek Scientific, a optical window and mirror systems manufacturer.

The purchase allows McDanel to expand its technology portfolio of advanced material offerings and its manufacturing capabilities.

Rayotek will continue to operate from its San Diego headquarters.

McDanel’s customers are in the aerospace, defense, medical, semiconductor, and other diversified industrial end-markets. Its portfolio includes high-purity materials and a range of machining and research and development capabilities. It is owned by Artemis, a private equity firm focused on partnering with differentiated industrial tech companies.

Rayotek Scientific manufactures mirrors; glass, sapphire and fused silica windows; and other optical systems. Products are manufactured to operate under harsh conditions and meet critical applications. Customers are in the aerospace, defense, space, and semiconductor industries.
