Penske Logistics names Jeff Jackson as new president

Reading-based Penske Logistics, a supply chain and logistics solutions provider, recently named Jeff Jackson as its new president.

“I’m honored and thrilled to take on this new opportunity and to work with such a dynamic leadership team and group of associates,” Jackson said. “We have built an incredible logistics and supply chain business and see tremendous opportunities ahead for us.”

Jackson has more than 28 years of experience in the transportation industry. He has held numerous operations management and leadership roles with Penske Logistics including executive vice president of operations – dedicated contract carriage (DCC), senior vice president (SVP) of operations – DCC and SVP, and operations of the Eastern Region.

He also has held roles with Penske Truck Leasing including area vice president of the Northeast, and Tampa and Memphis district managers.

Jackson earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing at the University of South Florida, and was rental manager and branch manager in Atlanta, Jacksonville, and Tampa for Rollins Leasing Corp. prior to Penske purchasing the company.

In addition, he is a Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals member.

Jackson replaces Marc Althen who is retiring.

Penske’s solutions include dedicated transportation, distribution center management, freight brokerage, freight management, lead logistics, and transportation management.
