Kraft Heinz appoints Carlos Abrams-Rivera as new CEO

The Kraft Heinz Company board of directors recently appointed Carlos Abrams-Rivera as the company’s next CEO, effective Jan. 1. Abrams-Rivera also was appointed a member of the board.

Abrams-Rivera becomes Kraft Heinz president, effective immediately, and is the current North America Zone president. He will continue in these roles through the remainder of the year. As North America Zone president, he oversees the company’s U.S. and Canadian operations.

“I am humbled and honored to be appointed as the new CEO of Kraft Heinz,” Abrams-Rivera said.

The company’s current CEO and board chairman, Miguel Patricio, will become non-executive chairman of the board on Jan. 1.
