Wesco expands service portfolio

Pittsburgh-based Wesco International, a business-to- business distribution, logistics services and supply chain solutions provider, recently announced it expanded its portfolio of services designed to help customers, suppliers and partners navigate the global marketplace.

“Wesco’s innovative digital solutions are another synergy resulting from the transformational combination of Wesco and Anixter and represent a key milestone in achieving our vision of being the best tech-enabled supply chain solutions provider in the world,” John Engel Wesco chairman, president and CEO, said. “Our expanded set of services will enable new markets and business opportunities for our suppliers and strategic partners. Our customers will benefit from our scale and global technical resources to deliver dynamic solutions that drive innovation and together, we will unlock value across our entire ecosystem.”

New services include the formation of an innovation partner ecosystem; additional internet of things (IoT) advisory services; and a new solutions innovation center in Glenview, IL.

The innovation partner ecosystem will develop solutions to help customers achieve automation and IoT, electrification, grid modernization, security, supply chain consolidation and digitalization goals.

Wesco operates approximately 800 branches, warehouses and sales offices in more than 50 countries. It generates more than $21 billion in annual sales and employs approximately 20,000 people worldwide.
