Re:Build to invest $50M in Westmoreland County

Re:Build Manufacturing (Re:Build) plans to invest $50 million to create a manufacturing complex in the New Kensington Advanced Manufacturing Park in Westmoreland County.

Government and private grants and loans will provide an additional $31 million.

The complex will be comprised of portions of five existing buildings, totaling 175,000 square feet. The buildings need major renovations. Once completed, they will serve as the company’s regional headquarters.

The complex will focus on fabrication, manufacturing, and integration and assembly projects in industries such as aerospace, energy, electric mobility, life sciences, robotics, and satellite communications.

The project will create more than 100 jobs during construction and approximately 300 full-time positions within the next three years.

“Growing up in the heartland, I experienced firsthand the impacts of the rise and fall of American manufacturing on the well-being of our country,” Jeff Wilke, Re:Build Manufacturing chairman and co-founder, said. “We created Re:Build to help our nation secure a more resilient future by investing in high-tech manufacturing. The new facility in New Kensington is a major milestone in this journey, helping to revitalize an area once central to American industry and bringing back much-needed, sustainable jobs.”

The company will work with vocational training institutions to help students develop the skills necessary for employment at the facility.
