Penske Truck Leasing opens Alabama location

Reading-based Penske Truck Leasing, an innovative transportation solutions provider, recently opened a state-of-the-art facility in Huntsville, Ala.

The 15,750-square-foot facility will provide consumer and commercial truck rental, full-service truck leasing, and contract truck fleet maintenance to the Madison and Huntsville markets. This facility is located on 8.75 acres and features eight service bays, an automatic truck wash bay, and a full-service fuel island.

“We’ve enhanced our ability to effectively serve Penske customers and employees with this new, state-of-the-art facility,” Robert Latimer, Penske Truck Leasing area vice president, said. “The facility not only improves our operational efficiency through ease of accessibility and a spacious layout but also increases our ability to amplify our capabilities and potential. Through this strategic growth, Penske remains the transportation provider and employer of choice in the Northern Alabama area.”

The new facility employs approximately 15 associates. Penske is hiring locally and nationwide for a variety of positions.

Penske Truck Leasing is a Penske Transportation Solutions company that provides truck rentals, used trucks, fleet maintenance, full-service truck leasing, and a comprehensive array of technologies to keep the world moving forward.

Penske operates and maintains more than 418,000 vehicles and serves customers across North America from more than 2,500 rental locations and more than 930 maintenance facilities.
