The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia recently announced its new executive committee and board members.
Michael Innocenzo, president and CEO of PECO, a Philadelphia area electricity and natural gas utility, will be the next board chairman.
Innocenzo has served on the chamber’s board since 2018 and its Executive Committee since 2019. In addition, he is a Satell Institute member, has advisory roles with Drexel University and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and serves on the boards of directors for the Electric Power Research Institute, the American Gas Association, the Philadelphia Police Athletic League, the Philadelphia Free Library, and the Franklin Institute.
Innocenzo has worked for PECO for 34 years in several operational leadership roles.
“Mike is a true civic leader who has already made an enormous impact on the economic growth of the Greater Philadelphia region,” Chamber President and CEO Chellie Cameron said. “In addition, his commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the chamber membership and greater business community will continue to be paramount during his tenure. We are honored to have him serve as our next chair.”
The appointments are effective Oct. 15.
