The Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) recently signed a seven-year agreement with Blink Charging Co., a leading owner, operator, and provider of electric-vehicle (EV) charging equipment and services.

“At LVHN, we care deeply about our community’s environmental future and are committed to the use of clean energy and transportation,” LVHN President and CEO Brian Nester said. “Electric vehicles have many benefits, including reducing carbon dioxide pollution and improving the health of communities. That’s why we are excited to make EV fast-charging stations readily available to Lehigh Valley residents. We believe this effort will help pave the way for more widespread adoption of electric vehicle use in the future.”

Under the agreement, Blink will own and operate more than 200 charging stations across the health network.

The network includes eight hospital campuses under the LVHN name, two Coordinated Health hospital campuses, 20 ExpressCARE locations, nearly two dozen multispecialty locations, 26 health centers, and dozens of primary and specialty care physician practices.

Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown received the first fast-charging stations.

Florida-based Blink Charging Co. has deployed more than 23,000 charging stations globally. It offers customers EV charging equipment and EV charging services. It operates, maintains, and tracks the EV charging stations using cloud-based software.
