The Cordish Companies opened Live Casino! Pittsburgh in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, late last month. The casino is located approximately 30 miles from downtown Pittsburgh.

The $150-million, 100,000-square-foot, two-level facility features approximately 30 live-action table games, 750 slot machines, and FanDuel Sportsbook.

“We always say our goal is to give our customers a ‘WOW’ experience every time they visit the property,” Sean Sullivan, Live! Casino general manager, said. “We certainly have achieved that here. As important, Live! Casino Pittsburgh will serve as a transformative development that will create maximum community benefits for Westmoreland County and Hempfield Township.”

The facility is forecasted to bring in $47.5 million in tax revenue and $188 million in annual economic impact. This is in addition to the $148 million generated by construction. It creates more than 500 permanent jobs.

In addition to the casino, the facility features two restaurants: Guy Fieri’s American Kitchen + Bar and FanDuel Sportsbook and Lounge. A third restaurant, PBR Country Bar, will open in 2021.

Sports & Social Steel City offers guests interactive social games, a 40-foot LED video screen, and audiovisual technology.

The Cordish Companies is scheduled to open Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia early next year.
