Clearly Clean Products wins excellence award

The Northeast Pennsylvania Manufacturers and Employers Association recently awarded Clearly Clean Products, a recyclable food tray manufacturer based in Schuylkill County, the 2020 Manufacturers and Employers Excellence Award for Expansion.

Clearly Clean is the fastest-growing manufacturer in Northeast Pennsylvania. The award acknowledges the company’s rapid growth.

The company recently purchased an 80,000-square-foot distribution center and an additional manufacturing facility.

In 2019 alone, the company expanded its product offerings, tripled its client base, increased the number of employees by 320 percent, and increased the number of machines by 500 percent.

“Clearly Clean’s recyclable trays are now in almost every grocery store in the country,” Millard Wallace, Clearly Clean managing partner, said. “We’re so grateful to the association for this award because it reinforces the fact that consumers seek out recyclable packaging. Our growth means a lot to our employees – and to the environment.”

The company’s growth has been fueled by bans on foamed plastics and consumer demand for eco-friendly packaging.

Trays manufactured by Clearly Clean use PET, a material also used in recyclable water bottles.

The award was presented at a dinner on Nov. 10. Attendees included the Schuylkill County Commissioners, members of the Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Association, and members of the National Association of Manufacturers.
