East Penn, operator of the world’s largest single-site battery manufacturing facility, recently launched a new product in its Deka product line.

The Deka line uses Compu-Press, a process that compresses lead into a grid built for corrosion resistance and long life.

The Deka HRC battery combines this technology with AGM technology and components such as flame arrested self-sealing valves, top access terminals, and Epoxy-sealed posts. This gives the Deka HRC safety and dependability, the company said.

The batteries are manufactured with proven reliable technology and are the most highly recycled consumer products globally, the company said.

“The Deka HRC battery joins the family of proven Deka products, including the revolutionary Deka Fahrenheit and Deka High Rate batteries,” the company said. “These multiple levels of products differentiated by unique design features and manufacturing processes, give a variety of scalable solutions for each Data Center’s unique needs.”

The product line’s pricing helps maximize budgets, the company said.

East Penn has a 520-acre complex where it manufacturers lead batteries and accessories, and energy storage and system integration solutions for the telecommunication, motive power, commercial, UPS, automotive and marine markets.

The company’s quality and environmental systems have been certified to ISO 9001:2008, IATF 16949:2016, and ISO 14001:2015 requirements.
