U.S. Chamber of Commerce recognizes Rep. Meuser

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce recently selected U.S. Rep. Dan Meuser (R-PA) for the Spirit of Enterprise Award.

The award honors members of Congress who support pro-business legislation and show bipartisan leadership.

Meuser was awarded for his support of pro-growth policies in the first session of the 116th Congress. The honor was awarded virtually during a presentation Wednesday hosted by the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce.

“Since coming to Congress, I have worked to ensure that businesses across the nation can thrive, create jobs and spur economic growth,” Meuser said. “The coronavirus pandemic brought unprecedented challenges for employers and employees who have suffered from a crisis they had no part in creating. Chambers across the 9th District have played an important role in advocating for the safe reopening of our economy to protect lives and livelihoods.”

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce launched the award in 1965.

“As we continue a Great American Comeback, it is imperative that government respond to the needs of the business community, rather than dictate burdensome and misguided regulations,” Meuser continued. “I am honored to receive the Spirit of Enterprise Award and will continue to support policies that drive opportunity and prosperity for the American people.”
