Buckeye Partners recently donated more than $140,000 to Pennsylvania nonprofit organizations to provide long-term support and assistance to communities impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The donations were made from the company’s general operating funds and were donated to 24 nonprofit organizations statewide, including hospitals, first responders, shelters, food banks, and other local charities. Local teams chose the nonprofit organizations based on the organizations making a positive impact in the fight against the pandemic.

The company’s regional headquarters are in the Lehigh Valley, and one of the organizations was the Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), which received $15,000.

“On behalf of all the health care heroes at Lehigh Valley Health Network who are bravely caring for patients on the front lines, I thank our partners at Buckeye Partners for their support during the COVID-19 pandemic,” Dr. Brian Nester, LVHN president and CEO, said. “At LVHN, we are committed to giving people convenient access to COVID-19 testing and care, and to providing the safest possible care in all our hospitals and facilities. The generosity of community-minded organizations like Buckeye Partners helps LVHN provide the care people need, expect, and deserve.”

The donations are part of more than $1 million being donated company-wide.
