Utz completes merger with Kitchen Cooked

Utz Quality Foods recently completed its merger with Kitchen Cooked, which included the Kitchen Cooked snack-food brand, manufacturing operations, and direct store delivery operations.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to add this important snack food brand and set of capabilities to our portfolio,” Dylan Lissette, Utz Quality Foods CEO, said. “Since the 1930s, Kitchen Cooked brings a strong consumer following and unique craft heritage in its core markets. Their distribution and manufacturing capabilities, along with their customer relationships, enhance our ability to grow our Utz brand portfolio further west.”

Kitchen Cooked is headquartered in Farmington, IL., and distributes snack foods in Central Illinois and Eastern Iowa. Its product line includes pretzels, popcorn, Kettle Pops, Kettle Kurls, tortilla chips, and pork rinds.

Utz is headquartered in Hanover and is the largest family‐managed, privately held, salty snack company in the country. It operates 13 manufacturing facilities in Pennsylvania, Alabama, Arizona, Indiana, Louisiana, Washington, and Massachusetts and more than 1,700 direct store delivery routes.

The company’s products are distributed nationally and internationally through stores and other channels. Its brands include Utz, Snyder of Berlin, Hawaiian Brand, Good Health, Bachman Jax, Zapp’s, Dirty Potato Chips, Snikiddy, Tim’s Cascade, Wachusett, Boulder Canyon, Golden Flake, and Bachman.
