Oriden enters into partnership with Solar Liberty

Pittsburgh-based Oriden, a renewable energy solutions developer, has entered into a strategic partnership with Solar Liberty, one of the largest solar photovoltaic system developers and installers in New York.

The partners will pursue distributed solar generation projects in New York State.

“We are very grateful and excited to be working with Oriden on upcoming solar projects,” Adam Rizzo, Solar Liberty co-founder, said. “This partnership will foster great opportunities for both companies to achieve our mutual commitment to developing solar projects for the benefit of our customers throughout New York State.”

Over the past several months, the partners have been working a backlog of more 20 megawatts of awarded distributed energy projects.

Oriden also recently opened its newly renovated office space in Pittsburgh’s North Shore.

Oriden launched this year and is venture-funded and backed by Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems. It is dedicated to end-to-end solutions for renewable energy projects, including development and permitting, construction, financing/ownership, and asset management.

Founded in 2003, Solar Liberty is based in Buffalo and is dedicated to distributed solar generation projects in New York. Inc. Magazine ranked Solar Liberty as one of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies and ranked it fifth among energy companies.
