Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board says casinos generated record-setting gaming revenue in March

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported Monday that revenue from the combined play of slot machines and table games reached a record monthly high of $309,125,131 during March.

March was the highest single month for table games revenue, with revenues of $82,527,450. It was the third highest monthly slot machine revenue, with revenues of $226,597,681.

This year’s March revenue is 2.86 percent increase over March 2018.This March’s numbers for table games was a 4.25 percent increase over March of last year when revenue was $79,165,791, the previous monthly high for table games.

Tax revenue from table games play during March totaled $13,289,564. There are an average of 1,279 tables in daily operation statewide.

The release of the report follows the board’s announcement of a public hearing to gather evidence, including public comment, on the renewal of the Category 2 Slot Machine Operator’s license for Stadium Casino, LLC which is constructing the Live! Casino in Philadelphia.

The public hearing will occur on May 6, at 3:00 p.m. at Penn State at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia.
