Reps. Rothfus, Scalise tour energy innovation center

Congressman Keith Rothfus (R-PA) and House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) recently toured the Energy Innovation Center in Pittsburgh.

“I was honored to have the House Majority Whip, Representative Steve Scalise, join me for a visit to the Energy Innovation Center,” Rothfus said. “The Center is a great asset for Western Pennsylvania and demonstrates how our society benefits when the public and private sector work together. Technological innovation and continued workforce development are crucial for sustaining a robust economy now and in the future. The Center also provides a creative environment where entrepreneurs can thrive, and help grow America’s economy. Additionally, I enjoyed speaking with some of Pittsburgh’s next generation of innovators being educated at the Center. I look forward to working with Representative Scalise to ensure our nation’s prosperity.”

The Energy Innovation Center is a not-for-profit organization that provides a collaborative environment where public sector and private groups can work together to advance new technology, support clean energy alternatives, incubate businesses and promote workforce development.

“I want to thank my friend Keith Rothfus for hosting me here in Western Pennsylvania,” Scalise said. “When it comes to achieving American energy security, strengthening our economy, and creating good jobs for the people of his district, no one works harder than Keith Rothfus.”
