Enhancements to the online job-matching PA CareerLink system will create an effective and condensed website experience for Pennsylvania job seekers and employers, according to Department of Labor and Industry Secretary Jerry Oleksiak.
The website will relaunch as a partner of the American Job Center network. Some of PA CareerLink’s brick and mortar services will be available online.
PA CareerLink locations assist job seekers and employers identify and access employment and training services.
“I continually see firsthand the positive results that growing employers can attain when partnering with PA CareerLink to connect with a well-skilled workforce,” Oleksiak said. “Gov. Tom Wolf recognizes the importance of partnerships between state agencies and workforce development professionals to achieve this goal, and that’s why L&I is focusing on customer-based enhancements to the PA CareerLink system.”
Enhancements include additional job postings, improved job-seeker control over who views resumes, better matching of employers with individuals who have specific skills, increased vetting capabilities for posted jobs, and increased sharing across state agencies to streamline services.
The website also includes an improved referral system to connect customers to community support services and feedback from PA CareerLink clients.
The website update is part of the Wolf Administration’s workforce development initiatives.
