Malvern-based LifeScan, a digital health technology company, recently appointed Jonathan Salkin as the company’s next CEO, effective immediately.

Salkin has more than two decades of experience leading healthcare, life sciences and medical technology companies through periods of growth, transformation, and value creation. He joins the company from Antylia Scientific where he served as CEO and lead the company’s successful rebranding from a catalog-based laboratory distribution business into a global life sciences and bioprocessing platform. Salkin also held senior leadership roles at Devicor Medical Products and Cardinal Health.

Salkin succeeds Michael Hooks and James Rushing who have served as co-interim CEOs since January. Hooks is chairman of the board and Rushing is executive vice president and chief financial officer.

“Following an extensive and thorough search, Jonathan emerged as the clear choice,” Hooks said. “His combination of strategic acumen, leadership skills, and a proven track record clearly establishes him as the ideal person to lead LifeScan into a new era of providing diabetes monitoring and management solutions. I look forward to partnering closely with him and the leadership team to collaborate on the opportunities ahead.”

More than 20 million people and their caregivers worldwide use LifeScan’s blood glucose monitoring products, marketed under the OneTouch brand, to manage diabetes.
