Quaker Chemical receives Foundational Principles Supplier of the Year Award

A longtime supplier of metalworking fluids and chemical management services to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), Quaker Chemical was recently honored with one of 16 FCA Foundational Principles Supplier of the Year Awards in Detroit, Michigan.

The Supplier of the Year awards are given to automotive supply companies that have demonstrated strong commitment to FCA US LLC.

“We are very honored to be recognized as the Foundational Principles Supplier of the Year award winner by FCA. Our core values at Quaker directly align with these foundational principles and have helped guide our local associates that routinely work with FCA,” Karl Kunkel, Quaker Metalworking Industry business director, said. “This strong collaboration and partnership has made FCA one of our best, longstanding, and valued global customers.”

Each company’s supplier scorecard performance in 2017 – a rating system that evaluates supplier performance in quality, delivery, cost, warranty, and partnership – was used to determine the recipients of this year’s awards. FCA senior leadership input was also taken into consideration.

“These 16 suppliers represent the best qualities of the North American automotive supply base,” Scott Thiele, chief purchasing officer at FCA, said. “We recognized our partners and thanked them for their collaborative nature, their resiliency in an ever-changing industry and their dedication to innovation.”

Quaker Chemical, based in Conshohocken, Pa., will further highlight its dedication to supply manufacturing and innovation at the AISTech 2018 Conference & Exposition from May 7 to May 9 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Quaker will present its entire steel process fluid portfolio, ranging from cleaners, rolling oils, corrosion preventives, surface treatment, greases, and hydraulic fluids.
