The board of directors of Wayne-based Ecovyst, a regenerated sulfuric acid, virgin sulfuric acid, and sulfur dioxide and related derivatives provider, appointed Laurie Bergman chief financial officer, effective Monday.

Bergman comes to Ecovyst from Legacy Food Group where she had served as the chief financial officer since July 2024. She previously served as Liquid Environmental Solutions chief financial officer and UGI Corporation chief accounting officer, corporate controller and vice president of accounting. In addition, she has served as a QNB Corp. board of directors member and audit committee member since May 2020, and she previously served as a Arq board of directors member and audit committee chairwoman.

“Laurie is an accomplished and seasoned finance and accounting professional, and we are confident that she will bring high-caliber skills and proven experience in implementing growth strategies to her new role with the company,” Kurt Bitting, Ecovyst’s CEO, said. “On behalf of our board of directors and the management team, I also want to thank Mike for his hard work and dedication on behalf of the company and for his many contributions to Ecovyst’s success. We wish Mike all the best in the future.”

Bergman replaces Michael Feehan who will be leaving the company on Sept. 30.
