Conshohocken-based United Building Solutions (UBS), a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning services provider, recently purchased Cranberry Township-based McCarl’s Services, a commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration solutions specialist, for an undisclosed amount.

The purchase is UBS’ third since last year. The purchase expanded the company’s footprint from three Mid-Atlantic states to 11 markets in the Northeast, Midwest, Southeast and South-Central United States.

“Since its founding in 1946, McCarl’s has built a strong regional reputation for its commitment to service and excellence, making them a valuable addition to our rapidly expanding network,” David Leathers, United Building Solutions CEO, said. “In addition to extending our geographic reach, the acquisition of McCarl’s aligns with our broader strategy of providing specialized service solutions that support organizations in critical market sectors.”

McCarl’s has a strong presence in western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio and northern West Virginia and serves commercial and industrial customers. It specializes in the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of complex HVACR systems

McCarl’s will operate as a division of UBS under Mike McCarl who will continue as president.

“Having served the western-Pennsylvania region for three generations, joining UBS’ rapidly expanding network will allow us to enhance our capabilities and accelerate growth while maintaining our commitment to technical expertise, superior quality, and outstanding service,” McCarl said.
