Bethlehem-based B. Braun Medical, a medical products and services provider, recently launched the Supply Assurance Program, an initiative designed to reinforce supply chain resiliency and protect patient care from disruption in the medical device and pharmaceutical sectors.
“To address supply and demand uncertainty, B. Braun is working closely with our key distributor partners to finalize agreements that position additional inventory in the forward supply chain,” said Tim Cokkinias, B. Braun Medical distribution sales and operations corporate vice president. “This proactive approach ensures healthcare providers have the products they need — precisely when they need them.”
The program is free for customers and includes the company’s full product portfolio. Inventory is located closer to customers with distribution partners to mitigate supply-demand imbalances, allowing healthcare providers to access products without additional costs.
At key distributor warehouse locations, the program guarantees 45 days inventory on hand, nearly double the typical time. B. Braun’s three U.S. warehouses will maintain robust safety stock.
The initiative is part of the company’s commitment to help hospitals and health systems maintain clinical continuity and deliver high-quality care.
B. Braun Medical employs more than 64,000 people in 64 countries. Products include infusion therapy and pain management, nutrition, pharmacy admixture and dialysis.
