Michigan-based The Macomb Group, a distributor of industrial pipe, valves, and fittings (PVF), recently opened a branch in Sewickley.

“We’ve supported the Pittsburgh market for many years through our operations in both Ohio and Pennsylvania,” Bill Vail, The Macomb Group executive vice president, said. “For some time, we’ve been actively seeking the right opportunity to establish a branch in the area, and we’re excited to make that a reality in Sewickley. This new location positions us closer to our customers and enables us to better meet their needs with greater speed and efficiency.”

The new 42,000-square-foot facility, located near I-79, includes one acre of outdoor storage.

The new location is part of the company’s expansion strategy that is focused on market specialization, and strengthening relationships throughout the industrial and commercial sectors. It also adds service capabilities in the Western Pennsylvania region and surrounding markets by offering faster service, greater inventory accessibility, and tailored support for regional industries. The company closest locations previously were east of Pittsburgh and in Akron, Cleveland, and Willoughby, Ohio.

Todd Shumate will lead the Sewickley location. He has more than 25 years of experience serving markets in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.

The Macomb Group has 31 service branches in 11 states.
