Bethlehem-based OraSure Technologies, a point-of-need and home diagnostic tests and sample management solutions provider, recently appointed Steven Boyd to its board of directors as a class II director, effective immediately.

The appointment is part of OraSure’s ongoing efforts to significantly increase operational, financial and industry expertise. Three independent directors were added to the board in the past three years.

Boyd is an investor with more than two decades of public markets experience within healthcare. He served for more than 15 years as Camber Capital Management partner. During his tenure, the firm’s assets under management grew from approximately $300 million to nearly $3 billion.

“We are thrilled that Steve will be joining our Board as we continue to advance our innovation roadmap and expand our commercial reach,” Carrie Eglinton Manner, OraSure Technologies president and CEO, said. “Steve is a highly accomplished investor and healthcare leader with a track record of identifying value creation opportunities and helping companies deliver growth. He brings the rare combination of deep understanding of investor priorities, sector depth, and strategic judgment that will be highly additive as OraSure pursues its next phase of growth.”

The board also appointed Jack Kenny to be chairman, effective immediately. He has been the board’s director since September 2024.
