Duquesne Light Company (DLC) has promoted two executives to its executive leadership team.
The company promoted Elisa Labriola, current chief compliance officer, to vice president and general counsel. As general counsel, Labriola will oversee legal, compliance, internal audit and enterprise risk management. In addition, she will maintain her chief compliance officer role as the company searches for a replacement. Prior to joining DLC in 2012, she held various senior in-house roles and was in private practice at a major Pittsburgh law firm. She starts her new role April 1.
Also, effective April 1, David Fisfis, current vice president of energy policy and general counsel, was promoted to special counsel to the CEO. In this role, he will oversee the company’s energy policy and external affairs activities. This includes leading advocacy efforts with PJM Interconnection and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission related to challenges around energy security, generation resource adequacy, and the company’s rates and tariff structure. Fisfis will continue to serve as a member of DLC’s executive team and corporate secretary to the board of directors.
“Lisa and David have been invaluable members of the organization and will be essential to furthering our clean energy vision in their new capacities, especially as we navigate current industry challenges like energy security,” Kevin Walker, president and CEO, said. “Lisa’s extensive background and insights will enable her to have a positive impact in her new role, and I’m honored to welcome her as the newest member of the executive team. Furthermore, David’s longstanding focus on energy policy and industry relationships will help ensure DLC’s future success as we continue adapting to changes within the energy sector.”
